Thinking of My Mom in the Hospital

I can't begin to explain how rough the last week has been. If I tried to blog about it all it would be a novel, not just a blog post. So If you all don't mind, I'm going to just do some brief little blurbs to fill you all in.

My Mom has been in the hospital since last week, and will continue to be in for a little while. Not going into great details on here, but if you like, feel free to message me on FB.

It has been very scary these last few days, but we are doing the best we can for her.

She's where she needs to be to get the help and health issues back on track.

I've been a ball of nerves, hence barely eating normally for the last week or so.

I'm trying to make my CF nebs and health priority, but it's hard when your mother is in the hospital.

I've felt kind of helpless recently.

I'm exhausted, as is my family.

I wish I had a sibling to split the duties and responsibilites right now.

I've spent countless hours on the phone the last few days with Nurses, Social workers, family, and friends.

Sleep has been minimal, and when I do sleep I'm dreaming about Mom in the hospital.

We're mentally and physically exhausted.

I've spent countless hours @ my parent's house this last week cleaning, and helping out.

I remain hopeful and appreciate to any prayers that have been sent our way. Please keep them coming.

I always knew I had great friends, co-workers, and family, but boy....they really are amazing, and we're so grateful!

I'm hoping it can only get better from here! Thank you for your thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I hope that she gets better very soon. Take care of yourself. I know that is easier said than done when you are worried about someone else.

I am keeping your mom in my prayers and you as well!! As hard as it is, try to grab a bite to eat, I don't want you to loose weight and end up in the clink. You are an AWESOME daughter, your parents are so blessed to have you!!

Jess, I'm so sorry. Sending prayers and love your way. I wish I could catch a train down there and help you!

Tough as it is to say, you're only helpful to your mom when you're healthy. If you can't eat much (believe me, I can't when I'm stressed either), maybe pick up a bunch of Boosts or Instant Breakfast drinks that you can gulp on the go or keep in your purse for use during hospital visits? They're not a meal, but they're better than nothing and at least give you calories to burn.

I second Kristy's comment -- you are AWESOME and your mom is super lucky. And this too shall pass.

We've chatted. You know how I feel. Be peaceful and take care of yourself. Remember, you can't take care of someone else if you get sick yourself.

Peaceful Things.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom Jess! I do know how hard it is when a family member isn't doing, in the hospital and you're normal appetite is gone, and you're completely exhausted. I hope everything starts to turn around for your mom soon.
